Astrospeak

One of my areas of study is astrology. I first started to look at this more closely when I was about 18 and then more in depth at about aged 21 and then around the time that I had my first tarot reading from a psychic medium. The psychic medium informed me that I possessed psychic gifts which, admittedly, slightly frightened me at the time.

Science can only explain so much. Astrology is an ancient science/art. I find it more interesting.

The more you find the less you seek. Since I have been on my spiritual quest/journey I have noticed how my thirst for knowledge and my hunger to discover what lies beneath and up high has increased. I seem to do less seeking and more finding. Where I had to seek and seek before, I am now finding that I am finding more and some of the answers to my questions literally fall into my lap.

Knowledge is power. Knowledge leads to the truth. The truth can hurt like hell, but then it will set you free.

I believe in many things related to the esoteric. Soul growth, spiritual practices, the idea of the 5th dimension, ancient wisdom, multicultural wisdom, myth and legend, soul outside of the earthly plane. The planets and stars, the universe, universal law, karma, the Akashic records, soul mates, soul families, ancestral karmic debt and karmic reward, personal karmic debt and reward, that nothing is coincidence, connection to the divine source, telepathy, dream messages, spirit, energy, that love is the highest vibrational energy and that fear is the lowest, twin flames, astrology, tarot, Christ consciousness - but not so much religion or division because of 'churches and hypocrisy'..... I believe that we have gifts, and that animals are gifted. I believe that we are all connected as species on Gaia, I believe that our pets are our family and that we have soul connections with them. I believe that everything happens for a reason.

I believe that we all have a choice to stay asleep or to awaken to our truth, our path. I believe that we are all given the opportunity to awaken spiritually and to connect with source energy. I believe that not everyone is coming to the future. I believe that not all of us are brave souls.

And you can go ahead and call me crazy/mad. That's ok too, I'm quite used to it. in fact, I take this as a huge compliment. "All the best people are mad" - The Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll.

Saturn is direct 'at home' in Capricorn conjunct with Pluto (ruler of Scorpio). It is Scorpio season, currently conjunct with Venus and Jupiter is direct 'at home' in Sagittarius. Mercury is retrograde (again)

Saturn passes through each constellation and resides for approx two and a half years. Effectively, with Saturn 'at home' in Capricorn denotes ends of cycles and new beginnings. Where Saturn is placed at the moment with the influence of a conjunct Pluto/Hades (ruler of Scorpio representing death, the underworld and rebirth) it's connotations are such that the cycles of the last thirty years should end - death-Pluto (by definition of these placements)

Many astrologers would argue that with this Pluto conjunction and with Saturn in Capricorn that cycles must end..... I think of Saturn as the strict headmaster who will not tolerate any nonsense......in order for new cycles to begin. In effect, whatever decisions that are made right now during this transit, will affect the next thirty (approx) year cycle, the next thirty years of your life, when Saturn will transit and return to the house of Capricorn in about 2051- ish.

With Jupiter residing 'at home' in Sagittarius (9th house = House of philosophy, perspective and travel. Its Latin motto: Iter, translates to: “journeys” and this is exactly what this house speaks about. It is a place of higher mind and understanding beyond everything found in our material world, beyond our boundaries and limits of our body). This really is a description of 'being enlightened' and why the planet Jupiter and the house of Sagittarius are often associated with the concept of truth and/through knowledge. Pluto is 'at home' in Scorpio (8th house = death and transformation, rebirth. In its final manifestation, this is the house of death, coming as the end of the road after ... the House of Reincarnation, while its Latin motto: Mors literally means death. ...

At this time Saturn at home in Cap, Pluto (as we have just entered Scorpio season) conjuncting Saturn with Jupiter at home in Sagittarius is in a position to (strict school head teacher) force us to face the truth, in our lives, our work, our positions, our relationships...all.

Fortunately, because we are now in Scorpio season, we may have to bury our dead (!!) revisit death or do a complete 360, or simply put to rest which no longer serves us (a kind of burial)

Of course, by looking at one's personal natal chart, it is possible to locate where Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter reside.

If you have strong Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter placements in your natal chart, well...the more affect the current placements will have.

When I say strong, I mean significant or dominant. For example: The main significant planets in a birth chart are said to be as follows:

Sun placement: the season in which you were born, your birthdate sign according to the twelve (there are in fact thirteen if Ophiuchus is to be included)

Moon placement: the position of the moon at the time of your birth (which is only identifiable if you know the time of your birth)

Rising placement: the constellation 'rising' at the time of your birth

Venus placement: where Venus is situated at the time of your birth. Why Venus? it relates to love (the highest vibrational energy and is the first planet to 'appear' in the night sky)

Of course to go into more depth you can look at the Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune...all of them.

These three placements are associated with:

Sun, your personality characteristics. How you interact with the outside world. How you approach the outside world = 'personality'

Moon, your emotional self. How you express your emotions, your emotional self

Rising, your 'face', or projected image to the outside world. Your front (imagine all the world is a stage and you are an actor) You often 'look' more like your rising sign than you 'behave'.

Venus, how you express and behave in matters of the heart, in love, loving, giving, nurturing etc.
