After yoga. Yogi tea (bag) message of the day:
"What belongs to you shall come to you".
Truth.
Authors addition: What does not was never yours in the first place.
Mercury is about to retrograde. In Sp00ktober : )
Astrologers suggest that this is a time of things coming back, memories, people, things.
In South American culture the 01/11 (the day after all Hallow's Eve) is known as 'The Day of the Dead', when old souls and souls from the past (and present) will return.
Of course, all Hallow's eve, in our Culture, is the night before All Saints Day. Christian culture suggests that 01/11 is the day of 'All Saints' and a celebration of the Saints.
I think that there is a cross over of cultural belief systems here. Many people, of the Christian faith, are not au fait with Hallow'een, yet are comfortable with the idea of All Saints Day. I imagine that they consider Hallow'een to have black magic connotations.
Our first Improv workshop starts on 31/10, this year and this weekend I met a lovely lady at a party who would like to come along. I hope that she does so, and enjoys it.
You have to be quite brave to do Improv. It is the type of 'comedy', that is not censored, has no lines or script and is totally spontaneous - with loose guide lines. The idea is to take a theme and play with it. Whatever you 'say' or 'act', is totally in the moment and the group respond off each other and the thread can lead anywhere. No one is supposed to be aiming for the last laugh or to be 'the star', it is not about that. It's more about corporation and being able to listen, respond and then speak/act.
A friend, and artist colleague has suggested that we do an art show together as a 'pop up' show in Brighton. This will be a good idea for us to get our work out of hiding for a couple of weeks. It will take a fair amount of planning and the gallery is now operating on a 'pop up rental' basis - it had had difficulty running as a straight gallery and many galleries are in closure or closed in this current 'climate'.
Next weekend we will be going to see the Chagall stained glass windows, near Tonbridge, and I expect that this will give me a nudge of inspiration.
